Alternative to the mayor’s gun buyback program

This is not written to be a smart ass, but it occurred to me that there is very little value in the mayors gun buyback program.

My alternative would be to enforce the traffic laws on sections of our interstate. My thought is that we have 4 or 5 squad, cars, riding ticket for speeding, changing lanes without signaling, inspired inspection, and expired paper plates. Granted there has to be probable cause to search cars but our roads would be safer and we would probably arrest more criminals and collect more guns.

Each day you could pick a different section of interstate so people would never know where the traffic laws were going to be enforced. I know it’s dangerous for the police department to pull over drivers and that is why I would do it in pairs.
