Who ate all of the puff pastry?

I have been to at least 8 stores involving the central houston district stretching to the greater houston area. Every one of their shelves were bare of the crispy goodness of puff pastry. My one question is, what happened to all of the puff pastry. Haven’t people learned from care bears that sharing is caring.
