NEW – 'Gentileschi and Wiley: Portrait of Courage' Exhibition @ MFAH See the classic 'Judith and Holofernes' motif come alive in painting through the work of Kehinde Wiley and Artemisia Gentileschi. Their two masterpieces, although created 400 years apart, are brought together to explore the common narratives across time and culture.

Ongoing – Alberto Giacometti Exhibition @ MFAH An ensemble of 60 masterpieces highlight legendary sculptor's Alberto Giacometti’s most important creative achievements. Tickets include general admission.

Ongoing – Wall Drawing Series: Mel Bochner @ Menil Drawing Institute The Menil Drawing Institute is proud to work with artist Mel Bochner on the fourth installment of the museum’s ephemeral wall drawing series. Continuously succeeding to blend traditional compositional devices with Abstract Expressionism, Bochner stands out as a one-of-a-kind artist whose art strives to make us more attentive to the unspoken codes that underpin our engagement with the world.

Ongoing – Walter De Maria: Boxes for Meaningless Work Exhibition @ Menil Highlighting De Maria’s varied and innovative approaches to media and scale, the exhibition includes a large group of conceptual drawings and photography, sculpture related to the development of the artist’s innovative land art projects of the 1970s, as well as examples of his sound and film work.

Contemporary Art Lecture @ MFAH @ 7PM The museum returns with its Core Program lecture series, first one of the new year is on Contemporary Art with NYC-based curator and researcher Noam Segal.

Bird Iconography in Ancient Colombia Lecture @ MFAH @ 6PM This conversation explores the importance and brilliance of bird iconography in ancient Colombian cultures.
