Looking to learn more practice skills

Hey all,

I've always been interested in learning some life skills like car maintenance and home maintenance because I didn't growing up. I was wondering if anyone knew of any community events, workshops, or classes that are open to admission that provides these sorts of opportunities to people like me who have a full time jobs and aren't students, but want to learn important skills.
