Season ticket question

Does anyone here regularly buy season tickets without purchasing a seat license? I am considering purchasing a couple of tickets for next season. However, I wasn’t sure if you have to have a seat license to get priority to repurchase tickets the following season. From reading some past threads it seems you have to have a seat license to guarantee the same seats year after year. However, it’s not clear if non-license holders get any type of priority in subsequent years before season tickets are advertised to the general public. Any feedback would be appreciated.
