Texans shouldn’t take a QB 2nd overall

This draft class reminds me of 2016’s class a bit, except with Young and Stroud at the top instead of Wentz/Goff. The rams/eagles gave up a fortune to select those guys to be their new “franchise guy” yet completely whiffed on Bosa, Stanley, Ramsey or Buckner.

If Young/Stroud/Levis were drafted, they would have to put up with:

1. A shaky offensive line
2. One of the worst receiving corps in the entire league (assuming Cooks is traded and Metchie’s treatment inhibits his ability to play)
3. A lower tier defense that lets up lots of points

In turn, plopping Young/Stroud/Whoever at QB is not going to fix this team around, and I guarantee that they would be considered a bust. Draft Carter, Anderson or some other defensive generational talent or trade down.

That’s just my take on things, so feel free to disagree with me.
