I know ya’ll wanna be pissed but here is some diet Kool Aid I’m drinking
The hardest part of this season was just getting to the end of it. Despite that shitty W yesterday I feel there is still quite a bit to feel good about:
– Casario is still our GM (for now). 2021 draft was one of our worst situationally, with a lot of picks being traded away for Cooks/Tunsil. 2022 was a decent enough draft. Now with 11 draft picks, Nick gets to hopefully draft for his job.
– Watson looks bad on the Browns so far, their cap space is handicapped for the next 4 seasons, and we own their first-round picks for the next two seasons along with some day two picks as well.
– Culley was only fired because Nick clearly wanted to hire Flores. His lawsuit put a wrench in that plan and its possible he never wanted to be our HC to begin with. Everyone was pulling their hair out with our other best options being Gannon or the old ass QB whos name escapes me. We would have probably looked worse with either of those hires over former HC Lovie Smith. Texans org handled that last game like s**t but regardless, we have the second pick overall. If Stroud declares he could be better than Young for all we know. its speculations at best.
– Hopefully we move on from Brandin Cooks next season. We have some promising young players, we haven't seen Metchie play yet, Pierce looks great so far, Pitre looks good.
Feel free to let me hear it but we knew this season was going to be a pile of ass. I think this was rock bottom personally.
