Chemical Industry: Need Advise for Which Companies to Look for

I am preparing to make a move to Texas in the next few years. I want to be around the south or the southeast Houston area. I want to know about the chemical manufacturing/design companies around this region.

I can't really find enough reviews online to form an idea about a certain company. I'd prefer to get info from people directly. I hope to do informational interview to get to know more about a company from a personal perspective (hate/like, why, etc)..

If you work in chemical industry in the Houston area, I would like to ask for your personal experience and opinion about your company. I will be looking for an engineering role. Please DM me if you prefer. You do not have to be an engineer (can be in operation, maintenance, QA, QC, finance, etc). I only care as long as you work or have worked for that company. It's a big move for me and the last thing I want is to get screwed in an unknown territory.
