CJ performed great under pressure yesterday which was probably his biggest knock. Yet, this is literally the only only time he’s done so all season. For me this means he likes to play up to his competition. Every other time he was faced with pressure this season he became disengaged and played worse.

On the other hand, Bryce Young has played under pressure numerous times this season and has made magic (I.e. Tennesse, LSU, etc). He’s been the saving grace of this Alabama team and the only reason why they only have 2 losses. That’s due to improvisation and passing ability. He’s actually done it for 2 seasons in a row. The way CJ played against Georgia is what Bryce has done against top defenses his entire college career. Also, go watch his game against KState in the Sugar Bowl and try to convince me he didn’t have numerous throws better than CJ had against Georgia.

Lastly, he’s small but that’s not as big of an obstacle as it seems. He’s extremely mobile and has a lightning fast release and can run. Drew Brees came into the league at barely over 200 lbs and gained weight and is an amazing QB. Bryce is currently listed at 194 lbs. He can easily put on 10-15 pounds soon and even more in the upcoming seasons. He’s THE guy, not CJ Stroud.
