How are the METRO buses actually?

I’ve lived in Houston for all of my life, but I don’t think I’ve ever taken a METRO bus. I’ve taken the light rail a few times.

I haven’t really heard anything good about the bus system, but I’m very skeptical about the comments I’ve heard since I live in a suburban neighbourhood (Kingwood) where public transit in general is stigmatised somewhat.

With that said, I’m pretty curious to know truly how good/bad the METRO bus system is.
