Houston-based drill pipe co. warns state entire workforce at risk of layoffs

Houston-based Texas Steel Conversion Inc., a processor of oil country tubular goods and manufacturer of drill pipe, told the Texas Workforce Commission that all 491 of its employees are potentially at risk of losing their positions.

The company cited the Covid-19 pandemic as the reason it filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act letter with the TWC.
