Abbott: More people allowed in bars, other businesses under next phase of Texas’ reopening
Phase 3 of Texas’ reopening plan is upon us, Gov. Greg Abbott announced June 3.
The latest announcement allows all businesses operating with a 25% capacity limit, including bars, to immediately expand occupancy to 50%, with certain exceptions. Amusement parks and carnivals will also be permitted to open at 50% capacity in counties where there have been fewer than 1,000 confirmed Covid-19 cases, while restaurants will now be allowed to sit up to 10 people per table.
