Experience with TWIA, disadvantages?

I'm in the process of purchasing a home and I was offered a regular non-hurricane,wind and hail insurance. Then for wind, hail and hurricanes there is a separate TWIA insurance.

I've shopped around and it seems this TWIA plus non-wind and hail insurance is way way cheaper.

Any disadvantages with using TWIA? Its a state-run program, so, I'm not sure if there will be a huge hassle for getting a claim processed and paid.
