Risk of seeing a big spider in Houston?

Hi
I plan a long trip to the USA and also want to visit Texas.
My biggest problem is that I have arachnophobia. I know that many big hairy spiders live in Texas but I am not sure about the situation in the cities.

Is there a risk of seeing such a big scary spider in the city of Houston?
