Good open mics on west/southwest side? Drummer/violinist looking for fellow musicians to play with.

I’m looking for good spots to hear live music and meet musicians on the west/southwest side of Houston. I’m hoping I can find people with similar musical taste and would be willing to jam every so often (and possibly play open mics in the future).

I’ve been trying to connect with musicians through Facebook recently, but haven’t had any luck so far. I think the best thing to do now is to actually get out there and meet some new people.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I’m looking for open mics that are happening this week and in the future.
