Job Search Advice

I excelled in school, got a law degree in 2015, but life threw a major curveball and I had to forego taking the bar and practicing law to provide round the clock care to my disabled brother. He tragically passed in September and I am reentering the job market after a super long hiatus. Taking the bar and practicing is not something I am able to do currently, so I am on the search for a job. I polished up my resume, made a linked in, and signed up and uploaded on indeed.

I want to make sure I use my time effectively on the hunt, so I was wondering if anyone had pointers, advice, etc. about what worked for them.
