Authentic Japanese food in Houston?

I’ve been to a lot of Japanese restaurants in my area (just outside of Houston), but for my birthday this year I wanted to go somewhere really nice and authentic. Most of what’s around me is really good, but Americanized given it’s a smaller, whiter city in Texas. Any recommendations for Japanese restaurants in Houston that stood out as particularly authentic?
