Brian Gaine & Jack Easterby

I've been listening to 610 today and heard a few references to Jack engineering Gaine's departure. I thought Gaine was fired due to the targeting of Texans employees based on race. It's always seemed like a weird story (in a very weird chapter) of Texans history. Does anyone have the actual story?
