Opinions of Houston Area Codes

I was talking to some friends the other day about Houston area codes, and realized the politics and “cool factor” of certain numbers was alive and well. Some people see certain codes as “poser” numbers or “not true houston”, others see some as “suburb” numbers, or “the number a strip mall business would have”.

What are your feelings about the main area codes?
