Friend and I mugged at gunpoint by 2 armed young men in Hermann Park 9/13/22 10:45pm.

Last night approx 10:15 my friend and I went to hermann park to eat carry out and chat. We parked in the lot to the right of the statue at the roundabout and found a park bench near reflecting pool with good lighting maybe 100 yards from his car. There were a few other people in the park at that time, runners and such. I noticed two young men, wearing black hoodies and gym shorts (one had blue shorts), walk by about 15 mins after we sat down. I didn’t think much of it because there were other people in the park, too. About 15 mins later (totally 30 mins of us being in the park) one of these same young guys walked up to us and asked “do you know the area? I need some directions” and he had both hands in the hoodie pocket. I immediately knew something was up, and he pulled his gun on my friend and put it to his forehead. that’s when the second guy ran up behind me and put a gun to the back/side of my head. They demanded our wallet, car keys, phones, and took my tote bag.

They figured out which car belonged to my friend (there were only a couple in the lot) and opened it up but didn’t take anything, the lights came on in the car when they opened it, so they ran off – dropping my tote bag in the parking lot. We called the police from a passers by phone and filed a report.

TL;DR: mugged at gunpoint last night in hermann park. If you’re in the park between the reflecting pool, parking lot, and the me tro tracks – let me know if you find a set of 4-5 keys with and Audi fob, and worn black bifold wallet.
