Bar/venue recommendations for a teacher mixer?

Hi all! I am from Dallas, but have been tasked with throwing a paid-for mixer for Houston teachers by my boss (I work for an education company). I’ve never been to Houston so not sure what bars would be a good venue for this – I am looking for somewhere teachers would go, not too ritzy but definitely not seedy. Recommendations appreciated from teachers and non-teachers!
