Galveston-based foundation donates millions for new UTMB department

The Moody Foundation, based in Galveston, gave the University of Texas Medical Branch two donations totaling nearly $2.5 million. Most of the funds will go to the new neurosurgery department.

One of the gifts is for $2 million and will establish the Robert L. Moody Sr. Distinguished University Chair, according to a press release.
