Senior Assistance

My brother and his family are in a situation and they're completely out of their depths with it. A former neighbor who is in her late 70s with mobility issues has found herself homeless and is currently living with his family. They have young children and the lady is starting to show some signs of dementia in addition to having mobility issues. She doesn't have any family or any assets to speak of besides a car, and her social security income isn't really enough to afford rent in a senior living facility.

They've contacted adult protective services as well as their church because it's simply not a sustainable situation in their home. They don't have a walk in shower situation so she can't bathe, and they don't have the spare room to really take care of her.

I know there aren't a lot of resources to take care of anyone in a tough situation in this state or any other, so I'm not holding my breath. I just thought there might be someone with some expertise in these types of situations that could point to some organization or agency that can help.
