Cheap electric help

Hey so i just moved into a new apartment less than a month ago and just realized i signed up for an electricity plan that is going to be too expensive for me/my roomates. It was my first time getting electricity for myself and i got a plan that was made for 1000kwh when we’re in a 2bedroom and only probably use 500kwh. So we’re getting charged more of course and im just curious if anyone has any recommendations for what i should do or any plans that work for them?

Considering TXU because they’re saying they’ll get rid of my cancellation fee. And then there’s that free or half off summer thing though im not sure that’s legit. Anyway if anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated!
