Wanting to leave Canada, could really use some insight

Hello all,

Let me just start by saying I did perform a search and while there was relevant information to me I still felt compelled to make my own post. I had a look through the jobs sub reddit and thought about posting there but I actually do not have privileges to do so.

I am basically wanting to touch base with someone who currently resides in or around the Houston area and also works in the downstream Oil and Gas or Power Generation Industry. In the interests of not dragging this post on and on and I wont get in to specifics other than to say I am a highly qualified individual with a background in Operations, Maintenance and Management. I am also a dual citizen and not in need of any type of sponsorship. I guess I am trying to figure out the job market and do as much research as possible before making any irreversible changes in my families life.

I am hoping to get some back and forth going in private messages if at all possible.
