My 4 year old needs to go into an ER today to undergo some testing. She’s pretty significantly disabled and completely non-speaking. She’s very sweet and typically a really happy kid, but she’s in a lot of pain and medical settings are really scary for her.

When her doctor saw her yesterday, she was feeling better, but he was adamant that if things deteriorated again she should go to the ER.

I just want to make sure I take her somewhere that will understand her needs and accommodate her as much as possible. She’ll need an examination, blood/urine samples and probably imaging of some kind while under anesthesia.

There are a few hospitals in our area (Clear Lake) – I’m trying to stay as close to home as I can. I would really appreciate any recommendations on where the best place to take her would be.
