The Man is Claiming Innocence, Only Apologized because people were “Triggered”
Here is the article
TLDR: Watson again apologized in a statement posted online Thursday, saying he takes "accountability for the decisions" he's made.
However, when talking to reporters shortly after, the quarterback insisted he's innocent.
"I've always been able to stand on my innocence and always said I never assaulted or disrespected anyone, but at the same point, I have to continue to push forward with my life and career," Watson said, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
When asked why he's apologizing if he's innocent, Watson responded: "For everybody that was affected by this situation. There were a lot of people that were triggered."
Why the hell did they settle? He is not remorseful. When he first apologized I literally said there we go there is something, but then he says s**t like this. The saddest part is I don’t think this is the last time Deshaun will do this, I hope I’m wrong, but how light this all is and how he’s acting he knows he is getting away with something, and he wants to rebuild his image in Cleveland which he will start doing once they start winning and I think this whole thing can repeat itself once people let their guard down. He just was taught what he did that lead him to get caught and how to avoid making the same mistakes
