TIL Bellaire (city) is defined as a suburb.

I previously understood “suburb” to be defined as any primarily residential area that was geographically located OUTSIDE the inner city. Sugarland. Pearland. Woodlands. Clear Lake. etc. However, after some quick Google searches, and a look at the dictionary definition, a suburb can be WITHIN a city as well.

I also just now learning that the Heights was Houston’s first suburb too.

Thoughts? Was I the only dumbass out here that didn’t realize these areas were suburbs??
