Traveling to Houston for a week for work

I’ll be in Houston for about a week on the west-ish side near 610 and 10s gigantic exchange (exciting).

I’m a big dude and big foodie so I’d like some recommendations for good food in the area. Barbecue is probably expected but I’m open to anything; company pays for it so I don’t care if it’s on the pricey side.

I’m also going to want to find a bakery/patisserie at some point—I like to bring treats in at least once on a trip.

Before we do the “f**k off tourist” or “We’re full” nonsense just know that we are building jobs in Houston and then pretty much all the non-natives f**k right off back to where they come from leaving the locally hired and sourced employees to run things since they know the area better anyway.
