Anyone ever commute from San Antonio?

I'll be in San Antonio for work at the end of August, and my team is playing at Minute Maid on a Friday night… Is this a doable commute? Is Google's estimate of 3hrs accurate? I'll switch flights to leave out of Houston, so only a one way drive.

Edit: is Megabus a reliable option?
