Contreras Thoughts

Yanier Diaz has been very good in AAA this year and played big in the futures game. With him and Korey Lee primed to be our catchers if the future, does it make sense for us to spend some prospects getting Contreras? I'd say no.

However, we have a severe lack of depth at 1B in the farm. Trading away one of our top prospects for Bell makes sense for the immediate championship run as well as future. I'd love to grab Bell and resign him to a 4-5 year deal.

My top targets would be Bell and Chafin. Getting these two would mean our only "hole" is at the C position but we all know how valuable Maldy is in October so it's more of a strength than anything.
