Tiff’s Treats employees in Austin attempt to unionize

The trend of restaurant and food-service workers attempting to unionize can be seen around the nation — including in Texas. The latest such business to encounter the situation is Tiff’s Treats, an Austin-based chain of cookie eateries. Founded in 1999, it now has more than 1,700 employees across five states. Workers want higher wages and more, while the company says its workers are already “among the highest paid food service and delivery workers in the industry.”
