Javier

After Javier’s last couple of performances, (as nasty as he is), I’m convinced he should be our long relief guy come the postseason. He strikes out a lot of guys but his inability to consistently get quick outs (and go consistently deep into games) makes me think he’s far better value to us in the long relief role. I’d much rather him coming in to keep us in a game (or hold a lead) when a starter gets pulled early than Odorizzi or Urquidy.

Much of this also depends on what we do with Lance if and when he comes back but a Lance/Javier tandem sounds pretty good to me…
