Recs for bday activity?

We're new to Houston and I'd like to do something around Houston for my husband's birthday. It has to be small kid and 100 degree weather friendly. Any indoor activities you'd recommend? (Maybe next year with better planning we can do a day trip to a river). Thanks for your help!
