Looking for Dentist Recs w no Dental Insurance

My partner doesn’t have dental insurance and hasn’t been to a dentist in several years. His teeth are not great, old filings that likely need to be replaced, xrays, etc. His dad has some pretty gnarly teeth/veneers and I kinda think he might be following in his dad’s footsteps…

Any recs for dentists… and how to approach a potentially $$$ visit (or series of visits) with no insurance? I’ve seen some dental offices that offer “group plans” but I’m not sure if this would be the way to go/have no experience and don’t know anyone with experience with this! My dentist said they would bill him at my dental insurance plan’s rates (meaning if a visit costs $400 out of pocket, but $200 with my insurance, they’d bill him $200 and that would be his cost.)

Ideally looking for dentists inside/near the loop/downtown/med center/montrose/heights etc.
