Seeking entry level IT advice

Hello IT professionals of Houston,

I'm seeking advice in how to start IT career. I'm a 32M and spent 7 years working at a grocery store. I am tired of working in retail and I would like to change career.

What is hot and latest trends in Houston? What skills are high demand in Houston?

What do you think is the best to learn in order to find a full time job? I'm willing to learn anything required for a job. I don't have IT background and I don't have a college degree.

I'm planning to give 3 hours everyday studying. Right now, I'm learning active directory and powershell. My plan also include SQL, C# and .NET.

I think I am also going for A+ and CCNA certification in near future.
