Cocktail bar + dinner nearby

Houston native that's been away for a while – visiting soon from France with my fiancée and she's particularly interested in a cocktail bar since that isn't really as much of a thing here. Bonus points if there's a decent dinner place nearby (something nice but not stuffy like Paulie's or Nancy's Hustle, etc.). My first thought was Anvil but I'm not sure if it's still as busy as it was (I haven't been since pre-COVID). I also have decent memories of Bohème but only their frozen mojito.
