How is Mont Belvieu?

I may have a job opportunity in Beaumont, and since I am not a big fan of that area, I am thinking that moving to Mont Belvieu may be an option (~50 min drive from there).

I have two small kids and the schools seem good , but housing prices seem higher that I had hoped.

Does anyone has any insight and opinion of the area?? I would really appreciate the help.
