Choose from cocktails for dine-in and to-go, grill-ready meats, snack boards and more. Some businesses are offering weekend and/or Monday-only deals, so we organized the list by the day(s) offered for your convenience. Multi-Day Deals

Axelrad, 1517 Alabama: Stake out a table at this perennially bustling beer garden complete with hammocks, space to roam and regular movie nights. Veterans receive a 20% discount on purchases every day of the year. Order cocktails such as Frankly Strawberry Basil Lemonade with strawberry vodka and Second Line with tequila, lime, serrano, blackberry and ginger beer, plus wines by the glass or bottle and craft beer. Pair with slices from Luigi’s Pizzeria, which shares the patio with Axelrad.
DR Delicacy, 4120 Directors Row: Stock up on holiday weekend ingredients at this one-stop shop for luxury goods. For Memorial Day weekend, all of the company’s meat and charcuterie products are 20% off with code MDWE2022. Can’t-miss specials include Wagyu strip steaks, duck prosciutto, vinegars, sauces, crackers, condiments and much more. Goode Co. Taqueria, 4902 Kirby: Take advantage of extended breakfast hours this weekend and fuel up for holiday activities. The restaurant is serving breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Order selections such as La Guisada with two eggs any style over pork-and-green chile stew, the Breakfast Taco Plate, huevos ahogados (two eggs over easy with salsa ranchera served on a crispy bean and cheese tostada with a choice of meat) and chilaquiles. Molina’s Cantina, multiple locations: Order all-day Molina’s Margaritas at the happy hour price of $6.50 each. Try one alongside the recently debuted queso toppers such as sautéed pico de gallo or zesty chorizo. The ‘ritas are discounted May 28 through 30. There are fajita packs, too, and margaritas by the gallon, half-gallon or glass for offsite celebrations.
Revival Market, 550 Heights: This kitchen in the Heights has a long-standing reputation for its housemade goods and locally sourced ingredients. Make holiday cookouts a snap with grill-ready selections such as the Revival Bratwurst 4 pack ($9.95), Garlic & Herb Marinated Pork Chops (pack of two is $49.95), Revival Sausage Sampler (two each of andouille, Tejas and kielbasa for $18) and marinated flank steak ($25.95). Round out picnics with a charcuterie board that feeds two to four people for $35, 16-ounce bottled Sangria for $16 each and a mimosa kit that includes one bottle of Jura Cremant and fresh orange juice for $25. The Original Ninfa’s, 1700 Post Oak and 2704 Navigation: Bar director Angel Belman created the fan favorite Piña-mezcalita, and it is available for a limited time this weekend. The sunny-hued cocktail is made with Damiana Herb Liqueur, Ilegal Mezcal Joven, chile poblano liqueur, fresh roasted pineapple chunks, pineapple juice, lime juice, agave syrup, chamoy and finished with a tajin rim. It is $13 and available Friday through Monday over the Memorial Day holiday.

Treebeards, 9655 Katy Freeway: Snag a Memorial Day beer and snack special Saturday through Monday at this Southern-style kitchen. The Bunker Hill location is serving draft beers for $5 each and half orders of Fried (Or Not) Deviled Eggs with bacon and green pepper sauce, also for $5 (normally $6). The discounts are available each day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Monday, May 30

Dish Society, multiple locations: The weekday brunch at this vibrant local mini-chain usually ends at 11 a.m., but is extended through 3:30 p.m. on Memorial Day. Order dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, such as the Houston Hot Chicken Sandwich or 44 Farms Chimichurri Steak Tacos. Dishes are available for dine-in, pickup, curbside and delivery at all six area locations.

Maize,14795 Memorial: Order from a special Memorial Day à la carte brunch menu prepared by executive chef Fabian Saldana and available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Choose from Mexican-style specialties such as grilled oysters spiked with chiles, Mexican Burger with prime beef and Corn Tres Leches.

Arnaldo Richards’ Picos, 3601 Kirby: In the spirit of “buy-one-give-one,” any guest who purchases lunch for a veteran at Picos on Memorial Day, will receive their own lunch entrée complimentary (up to a $16 value). In addition, guests can enjoy happy hour pricing all day every Monday. Specials include $8 select cocktails and margaritas, $4 beers and assorted bar bites.

Pier 6 Seafood & Oyster House, 113 6th Street, San Leon: Soak up coastal vibes at this upscale outpost in San Leon owned by Raz Halili of Prestige Oysters. The restaurant is typically closed on Mondays, but is making an exception in honor of Memorial Day. Visit for the weekend menu of selections such as stuffed crab claws, grilled oysters, Piri Piri Gulf Shrimp and Crispy Red Snapper, along with all-day happy hour drink specials.

PJ’s Coffee, multiple locations: Visit this New Orleans-based coffee house on Monday, May 30 to pay respects at the Missing Man Table. The tribute honors fallen, missing or imprisoned military service members with an empty place setting and information sign. While there, you can order from an extensive menu of hot and cold drinks made with direct trade coffee, plus pastries, breakfast sandwiches, beignets and more. Your purchase indirectly supports veterans by helping PJ’s Coffee’s veteran initiatives, such as a 20% discount on initial franchise fees for veterans, and the opportunity to win an annual veteran franchise giveaway.

The deal is good only for in-person orders on Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29. (The restaurant is closed on Memorial Day.) Try bánh mì with grilled pork, award-winning beef rendang, chicken or cold cuts, or opt for the exciting new menu items. The latter include Hong Kong-style curry fish balls, Chinese dumplings filled with a choice of five fillings such as pork and chives or vegetables and youtiao (Chinese doughnuts).
