Does Houston or any surrounding city have any sort of musician conventions like NAMM?

Namm is a huge private musician convention where vendors show off their new gear. Musicians get to check out all of the cool new stuff w/out worrying about purchasing anything or vendors trying to sell you their product.

There's performances, big name musicians show up and walk around, etc etc.

Anything like that around here?
