Texas DL Name Change and Renewal

I’m about to make an appointment at the Gessener DPS (or the other one a little out of city proper). I have both a name change and renewal to do. Do I have to make two separate trips or can I do them at the same time? They don’t have my SSN btw so I have to bring my updated card (still have to wait on that from the mail).
