Where is the underground music scene

Hi I’m Brent, I’m from Houston I rap, write, and produce. I have a couple songs out but I know to grow in the industry you need to network. Are there any artists in the area who are down to hangout and get in a good creative space, I have no problem bringing my laptop and playing some beats (message me if you do).
