What Hotels should I check out for a vaction in Houston at the end of April?

Gf (25) and I (26) are vactioning in Houston staying 4/23-4/29 and looking for max $150/night but cheaper if possible. Having a continental breakfast is preferable. We plan on renting a car to drive to the Galveston Beach one day so we need parking included. What hotel should we book to be close to fun activities and have a good time?
