Jacob Martin > Jadeveon Clowney

I would rather have Jacob Martin at his price than Clowney at 20 million. That along with the 3rd round pick that turned into Conley makes this trade a win IMO.

JD at 20 million a year (which is what he was wanting contract wise) produced 3 sacks in 13 games. Constantly injured. Never had 10 sacks in a season. Jacob Martin has 3.5 sacks in limited opportunities on a cheap contract and is still improving. Plus a starting CB2 former first round pick Gareon Conley.

The fans that can’t see the value in this trade deserve BoB. And would make for as incompetent a GM as him as well.
