Good place to shoot/learn how to use a gun

I’m coming to Houston next week from a small town in a different state with no gun ranges close by or anybody I know that owns a gun.

I’ve never shot a gun and i really want to at like a range but it seems like most places want you to have some experience but I also don’t live in Texas so no reason to take the class for a license
