Harris County pre-foreclosure buyer question
Anyone have advice for how to figure out timing for when a pre-foreclosure house in Harris County might eventually be for sale? A house I like is in pre-foreclosure and I’m trying to figure out timing on when it might be for sale so I can be ready. I would like to live there and don’t want to get beat out by slimy investors that will just try to flip it. It seems like banks have to file paperwork with the Harris County clerk during the process but there doesn’t seem to be any way to easily search these records. The mortgagor is JP Morgan Chase if that makes a difference. I also feel like it’s pointless to just contact the owner to see if they are ready to sell because I’m sure they are getting calls and letters like the rest of us who aren’t even trying to sell a property.
