It’s great that Ryan went to the Colts

Here’s why it’s great for the Texans:

Colts probably have to sign Ryan to that 3 year deal, which means they’re committed to a Tannehill level QB long term.
They’re not going to have a QB once the Texans are ready to win. We aren’t making the effort to win until next year, which is when Ryan will most likely be washed as he’s already regressed noticeably from his peak.
Colts won’t win a Super Bowl, but live in borderline playoff team purgatory.
If Baker ends up balling out, he’s good for another 10-15 years versus Ryan with a maximum of 2 more years similar to Rivers.
