My car was hit the second week I moved to Houston and will be in the shop till May. How do I get my license and registration changed?

Hi y’all, I recently moved to Houston. On week 2 my car was hit and is gonna be in the shop till May.

I saw on the DPS website that to get a Texas license I need to present evidence of Texas vehicle registration. To do that I first need to have my car inspected – which I can’t because my car’s in the shop.

What should I do? What will happen if I switch license after 90 days of moving?
