The Kitchen Wheel in North Houston’s Horse Country

The Kitchen Wheel is a very special restaurant nestled in the woods of North Houston in Tomball, Texas. You’ll drive past many great equestrian centers leading up to The Kitchen Wheel.

Thelma is the restaurateur that has taken what was once a single-family home into a flourishing restaurant that sources the majority of their meat and produce from local farms and markets.

Video one below will give you the tour of the back of the kitchen. I felt like I had just walked into my aunt’s kitchen. While there are industrial kitchen appliances and gadgets all around, the kitchen still feels homey.

Check out how the tortillas are all made by hand and make sure you catch the beautiful oyster mushrooms that are used to form a solid base for the tacos.

Video Two takes us to the foodie experience as Chef Thelma joins Lisbet on the culinary journey of sharing a plate of “The Tacos”, the “Buddha Plate”, the St. Sebastian Cheesecake with rose petals garnish and a delightful cup of coffee. Oh, and let me know forget the peach muffin.

I can share with you one hundred times how delicious and full of flavor all of the ingredients in the dishes I tried were…but unless you go out to The Wheel Kitchen for yourself, you won’t get the full experience.
