Whats going on at iah?

I was just at iah trying to get to a/b

I was stuck for about 1 hour 20 minutes.

As soon as I passed the hotel (Marriott) a bunch of cars were going off a ramp and the road to a and b were clear

Terminals a and b were ghost towns

Is there some event?
